Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. So it’s been a few months since Windows Plus were here but I wanted to see if having 2 new doors and a couple of windows would actually make any difference to the river of condensation I’ve been coping with the previous two winters in my bungalow! Oh My goodness, Yes it certainly did!! This is the first winter I’ve been condensation free and it’s been absolutely fantastic, even feeling a bit warmer! David and Wayne were so professional and great craftsmen. The finishes were great and they dealt with any little niggles along the way with ease, even fixing my door bell (which by the way is still working great guys lol)! I couldn’t be happier with the price and service provided! I would definitely recommend Windows Plus! Many Thanks!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have used Windows Plus a few times and have had nothing but excellent service every time. Adrian prices competitively with no pressure sales. The service Lee provided when fitting the door was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and when left you would never know he had been. Great job thanks guys.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 5 stars I had been told I needed to replace my window by multiple companies and quoted over £1k for replacement. Spoke to Windows Plus and they sent out an engineer and repaired the window within a week. Super happy with the service and the finish - thank you so much!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A Glowing review from a warm happy customer. Windows Plus fitted a new door and front windows in my flat for a reasonable price. They have already fitted a new back door and windows. Excellent service from them and I'm very happy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of an aluminium front door?

Aluminium front doors offer a combination of performance advantages that other materials struggle to match in a single product. The frames are slim, which means more glass and more natural light without a larger opening. The material is corrosion resistant and will not warp, rot, or swell over time, so the door looks and performs as well after ten years as it did on the day it was installed.

Thermally broken frames and high performance glazing deliver good energy efficiency, and the structural strength of aluminium supports a full multipoint locking system, giving you solid security alongside that clean, contemporary look. With over 150 RAL colours, dual colour finish options, and a wide range of glazing and hardware choices, aluminium front doors are also one of the most customisable options on the market.

Are aluminium doors energy efficient?

Modern aluminium doors are far more energy efficient than older versions, largely because of thermally broken frame technology. A thermally broken profile uses a separate insulating section within the frame to limit the transfer of heat between inside and outside, reducing draughts and helping to keep heating costs down throughout the year.

Combined with double or triple glazed units, a well specified aluminium door performs strongly across the seasons, keeping warmth in during winter and excess heat out during summer. If energy efficiency is a priority, our team can advise on the glazing and specification options that will give you the best results for your property.

What colours and finishes are available for your aluminium doors?

Our aluminium door range is available in over 150 RAL colours as standard, covering everything from classic whites and anthracite greys to bolder, more individual tones. Dual colour finishes let you choose a different colour inside and out, so the door complements both your home’s exterior and your interior décor.

The powder coated finish is applied under factory conditions and bonded directly to the aluminium, giving a durable surface that will not peel, chip, or fade. Textured finish options are also available if you want a different look and feel.

Do I need planning permission to replace my front door with an aluminium door?

In most cases, replacing a front door does not require planning permission, as it falls under permitted development rights. The exceptions are listed buildings, where any change to the external appearance of the building typically requires listed building consent, and properties in conservation areas, where the rules can be stricter. If you are unsure about your property, we recommend checking with your local planning authority before going ahead. Our team is happy to advise and can point you in the right direction if there is any doubt.

What guarantees are available for aluminium doors?

Every aluminium door we supply and install comes with a manufacturer’s guarantee covering the product itself, plus our own workmanship guarantee on the installation. Because we are FENSA registered, every installation is independently certified and registered with the relevant local authority, giving you an additional layer of protection and the documentation you will need if you sell your home. We confirm full guarantee details in writing before we begin, so you know exactly what is covered.
